When a repository is completely empty, and first commit is created and MR is created on it, such MR does not have "base SHA" property which is essential for many aspects of mrHelper - diff tool, discussion list, revision comparison preview etc.
This is a rare situation as normally first commit is README.md but we've just faced with it and it is definitely worth reporting.
