Need to have the video finished as it can potentially be used for our Promotional Material in regards to the Prototype Deliverable. I have already completed 4 mockups which will aid me with the animation of the video.

The video itself will be a kick-starter style animation which will advertise the app version of our product, Hivemind.

See wiki/Mockups to see the images of the mockups.

Progress Report:

The video has been using our existing Photoshop mock-ups with animated layers. Originally I wanted the direction of the video to be into a kick-starter advert for our website. However seeing as we're migrating to Marvel App then it might change the idea of the video into more of just a straight advertising style.

How do we link the News? How would we create a network of related articles? How can we build a News timeline?
Introducing Hivemind, a social application designed to answer these questions.
Available on smart phones and tablets, Hivemind is a user controlled system, with users logging in with Facebook to get started.
The app acts as a News Feed, with a twist, you can view linked articles with just one tap, opening up a web of stories related to that one article.
How does user have control? Well they’re the ones who post and rate linked articles, creating a ranking system for the related stories.
When it comes to ratings, users are actually deciding how connected one article is to another. It doesn’t just end at linked articles, it’s possible to have linked articles become linked, and then double linked articles to become linked, with a potentially infinite amount of layers. It can even become a huge circle of articles linking back to themselves.
Hiveminds goal is for users to create enough links and articles for News clusters to form and a timeline to show itself as a result of the users ratings, wherein stories related to one another can be shown in chronological order.
Now that you know what Hivemind does, you might be asking yourself, why should I back Hivemind? There are many potential uses for this type of application, including an excellent source for that research paper you’ve been working on; an insight into how the public majority views related news and a chance to see a user created timeline.
Hivemind. Link. Network. Timeline. Donate Now.

Progress Report:

The video has been completed to a rough version which shall be used for the in workshop presentation. The video lasts just under 2 minutes as I found difficulty with content to discuss for a kickstarter video without making the video boring and repetitive. I used royalty free music in the background and had a close friend do the voice-over. The entire video is animated from Adobe After Effects, this rough version does have a few patches of questionable animation which should be patched up before the final submission. However I am unsure if I'll be able to increase the length of the video with ease, but I personally believe the time is sufficient as long as the application is properly explained.

Hopefully from todays presentation I will receive some constructive feedback for the video, upon which I can improve.
