I like the idea of a map showing news tailored to certain locations, this can be interesting for people living in those locations, visiting those locations or even planning to visit those locations. It could give a very useful idea of the political/cultural situation within that area.

One of the only problems I see with this idea would be the ability for a group of users to target and ‘troll’ a certain location that they dislike, an example of this may be a racist user may go out of their way to put down or even spam a location that they dislike.
