Evidence:

The main objective of our testing was to get inside on what people thought about the search friends feature. We wanted to determine the best functionality and interactivity to see if users will find friends easily in the map.

When performing user testing with our mockups, most users found the interface easy to use and navigate. The main problem users had was with the search friends feature, as the current prototype have a map with locations. Users thought that it would this would raise privacy problem and it be much better if they could do the following things:

  • Change the map to a list of friends.
  • Make the location pin to be an area rather than the exact location.
  • Change the friends activity to an other window as this is to hidden and hard to access.

Improving the user interface for the friends search and friends activity the proposed changes above is a current area of the app we will be focussing on.

Work been done since last stand up:

Nipun:

  • Start to create zone for our prototype
  • Work on the prototype

FeiSn:

  • Make the homepage and chat mockups better
  • Do some academic search
  • Implement the homepage

Kian:

  • Redesigned workout finder page
  • Tested new design with some past testers and new testers
  • Started building the html version

Andres:

  • Worked on the user interface of the web based prototype.
  • Created a User Testing form in google docs to gather user feedback.
  • Conducted some user testing showing the app to people and getting feedback with the survey.

Alvin:

  • Research on how others social media present "Search Friends" functions
  • Finished first mockup
  • Gather User testings feedbacks and have some changes on the "Search Friends" functions

Next Task:

Nipun:

  • Work on the challenge page
  • In the challenge page people can challenge others for money contribution.

FeiSn

  • Finish the Homepage code.
  • Make the rest mockup better.
  • Do more academic research.

Kian:

  • Finish building workout finder page
  • Look into creating/designing a "Workout Now" feature. (Lets users see who wants to do some form of exercise at that very moment).

Andres:

  • Implement features to the prototype based on previous user testing feedback.
  • Conduct a usability user testing.
  • Gather further feedback from users on the feel and look of the prototype.

Alvin:

  • Redesign the functions and present a better way instead of showing people locatins (due to privacy problems)
  • Finish up the current featues prototype to show how the "Search Friends" functions will present
  • Finish up the prototype for search friend funtion, either fully working or the interface (buttons, output, etc...)
