Composed scatter brush isn't 2d

(My apologies for not posting this in the google group first. I tried to post multiple times, but my posts got lost somewhere...)

I created a chart composed of 2 scatter plots.
Everything works fine except the brush : it isn't a 2d brush.
Is there a flag somewhere that needs to be set to keep the 2d brush?

I think you are right to file this as an issue, actually.

Switching to a 1D brush is intentional when a scatter plot is composed with a line or bar chart. But I am not sure that anyone has looked at the case of composing multiple scatter charts.

I just checked and the behavior was the same in v2, although I know @kum-deepak fixed some bugs and improved the architecture in this area when he was working on v3. I think the relevant code would be in the coordinate grid mixin.

Arguably the scatter plot could support multiple symbols and colors and then there wouldn't be as much need for a composite scatter / scatter series...

I did attempt to cover for this case. But the change set was getting quite big. Even though the case looked initially simple changes started to creep into many different files.

We can target into v4, in my opinion not worth considering for v3.
