This would generate a notebook or other tooling with a list of "core packages" (e.g. geopandas, pysal-verse, contextily) that'd then be tested using their standard CI suite. This would be a requirement akin to the install_check notebooks we currently have.

Maybe we should consider a list of packages to test:

  • geopandas
  • xarray
  • rasterio
  • PySAL federation
  • ...
