We have had several bugs due to newer javascript syntax begin
present in the production bundle. This would cause old browsers
to fail to parse them.

It would be interesting to automate the syntax check of the production
bundle via a webpack plugin : https://github.com/Megan-TA/webpack-bundle-syntax-check-plugin#readme
(the readme is in chinese but the code is simple and readable :-)).
