Search refreshes the whole list everytime i type a name and never finds the contact

after importing over 600 contacts, i used the search to search for a contact, as soon as finish typing it automatically just refreshes the whole list and i can see the scrollbar getting smaller again, since it is reading the whole list.
Firstly the search of the name i enter doesnt filter out, ie. only the list refreshes.

secondly when the list keeps refreshing like that, it keeps reading the whole list before i try and search for another contact at the end or when im scrolling down, it is time consuming.

is this a bug?

I have just realized that, as soon as i take the name out of the search bar, the scroll bar resets itself and doesnt re-read the list. its the actual search thats the problem.

investigating further, i have seen a different problem all together.
Initially what i did was, i have exported all contacts from android to a .vcf card and then imported that in my cozy. As soon as that has happened, i try click on a contact and it doesnt open or edit. i cannot search or anything like that. just like the symptoms above.
It seems like cozy doesnt like something in the vcf card, which is causing an error.

Can someone tell me, what is the best way to export all contacts which INCLUDE groups (as tags in cozy) from android phone? the traditional method which i tried is causing problems.

If i remember correctly a few versions of cozy-contacts ago (i dont remember which one), there was no issue like this.

Thanks for your reports. Are you self-hosted or using one of our beta-test server? If your self-hosted, could you send us a message from the form in the help menu, checking the box to send us your logs. If you're using one of our servers, just send us your URL at contact at cozycloud.cc and I'll have a look at your logs.

I have finally realized that this is a specific problem with Sony Xperia Z5 devices. actually the whole range of sony Z series.
This is the issue i reported and the issues im having:

No wonder i cant even create a contact.
When i try to create a contact from the phone the name becomes a number after i save it, and after i synchronize with cozy.

If i create from cozy and sync to my phone, then it syncs correctly. Also, the vcf card i export from my sony and into cozy, like i said previously makes cozy contacts go crazy and unable to search or edit them correctly.

So now i am stuck with this problem because of sony's default contacts app that i cannot do anything about :(

Can you tell me if i can find a solution to this problem??

Could you send us the logs of your server (go to the Help menu, fill the form with a quick message, check the checkbox for attaching the logs and submit the form) ? I'll have a look at them to see if there are any issue we could fix on our side.
