Hello, thank you for reporting this!

The best way to report synchronization issues is usually to do it directly from the app:

  • click on the systray icon
  • go to the Settings tab
  • click on the Send us a message button

The message will automatically include the logs of the current day together with platform, app & cozy instance information.

Please note the logs include the names of files & directories.
During upload & investigation, your logs never leave France & are not kept indefinitely in accordance with the GDPR.

If you want to be sure about what will be sent, you can inspect logs in ~/.cozy-desktop/logs.txt*.
Logs are rotated on a daily basis, so logs.txt is a latest, logs.txt.0 is the previous one, logs.txt.1 was before logs.txt.0, etc...

Logs can become quite big and the app currently only sends the latest, i.e. logs.txt.
If the issue happened two days ago, the latest logs are probably not the ones we need to investigate.
So we may end up asking you to send us something like logs.txt.1 and logs.txt.2 by hand.

I hope this helps, but please let us know if you need anything else or if you have any other questions.
