You'll find the prototypes for the new design in Figma.
Below, you'll find an overview of the changes for the different parts of the homepage.

San Jose live election snapshot

  • Change "Donations" to "campaign donations";
  • Add a block "spent on independent expenditures".

Get the facts

  • Change "Amount raised" to "campaign donations";
  • Add "supporting independent expenditures" and the dividing line;
  • For the desktop version, change the color of the circle around the candidate's photo to light blue for candidates from district 4 to visually differentiate between districts. For the mobile version, change the color to light green for district 6;
  • Future changes: change this part of the homepage to a slide show so that all candidates are included.

Overview website functionalities

  • Change icons to make room for an independent expenditures page;
  • Slightly adapt the wording in some places;
  • Make the buttons equally wide for consistency.

Power to the people

  • remove

Register to vote

  • Adapt according to redesign so that it is better recognizable and one unnecessary redirect can be removed.

Footer

  • Remove the menu items from the footer;
  • Use icons;
  • Change "open source" to "Github".
