I would like to share some brief feedback after extensive use of MeshLab.
MeshLab has been a very practical and reliable tool in my workflow for processing and inspecting 3D meshes. One feature I find particularly useful is the visualization of coordinate axes, which makes it easy to understand mesh orientation, coordinate alignment, and spatial consistency during inspection and debugging.
The filter system is another major strength. The wide variety of built-in filters allows efficient mesh preprocessing, including cleaning, simplification, normal computation, and geometric transformations. Many common mesh-processing tasks can be performed interactively and quickly without additional scripting, which significantly improves productivity.
Overall, MeshLab provides an excellent balance between functionality and usability. It fits my needs very well for mesh visualization and preprocessing, and I use it regularly as part of my 3D processing pipeline.
Thanks to the MeshLab team for maintaining and improving this open-source tool.
