After installing metalims, i stuck on login screen

i face the issue after installing metalims on xampp 3.2.2, i currently using metalims demo as the database, after inserting the default username and password the page just return to login screen, no other error shown

info: i currently using database_connection.php to store directly the db credential without link to folder... does it matter?

Good morning @prasetyo-secure - it is not advised to store your login credentials directly in this file as it would be located in the web root and potentially accessible to others. Though as far as actually working or not - can you try entering in the wrong database name in your mysql connection string? The login page should complain if the connection isn't correct (to troubleshoot if it is at least connecting to your database on the backend and isn't trouble with the authentication set-up). Perhaps could try and if you have more questions you may email me directly at cheinle@ntu.edu.sg . Do note that most of the applications mentioned in MetaLIMS documentation are out of version now and you should use the most current ones for security. Apologies, please note that MetaLIMS has not been updated for the most current versions.

this is the error produced for entering wrong database, for now i just want to deploy the server locally so the lab could implement the lab record... i will concern for security in future as we going for cloud servers
