Problem: Cannot Create or Select Category When Creating a Learning Path in Chamilo

Hello,
I'm facing a problem when creating a Learning Path in Chamilo LMS.
When I try to create a new Learning Path inside a course, there is a field called "Category".
This Category field is a searchable dropdown (autocomplete field), but I cannot type a new category name — it only allows me to search and select an already existing category.
Problem: There are no categories yet, and the field doesn't allow free text input. Therefore, I can't assign a category at all during Learning Path creation.

My questions:
How can I create a new Learning Path Category?
Is there a specific way to add new Learning Path categories if none exist yet?
Do I need administrator rights or is there an option somewhere for teachers to manage Learning Path categories?

Important details:
I'm working inside a course as Administrator
I want to organize Learning Paths into categories inside a course, not at session or course level.
The Chamilo version is 1.11.28
