Sensor not detected under Pi OS "Bookworm" #36

Description

@surreydude

I've posted some details on the Pi OS forum here: https://forums.raspberrypi.com/viewtopic.php?p=2257330#p2257330

In short, I've got a new build of Pi OS - Debian GNU/Linux 12 (bookworm) - and, using the same physical Pi and TEMPer sensor that I used under "Buster", it doesn't see the sensor.

temper.py -l yields no results and I am at a loss to work out why it's failing to get recognised.

dmesg | grep USB does show:

[ 1669.808462] hid-generic 0003:1A86:E025.0004: input,hidraw0: USB HID v1.11 Keyboard [PCsensor TEMPerGold] on usb-0000:01:00.0-1.3/input0
[ 1669.812606] hid-generic 0003:1A86:E025.0005: hiddev96,hidraw1: USB HID v1.10 Device [PCsensor TEMPerGold] on usb-0000:01:00.0-1.3/input1
