the Tex-provided latexdiff has been upgraded, while latexdiff-git kinda of cannot call the latest latexdiff.

I'm actually not using this anymore myself. There is this version https://gitlab.com/git-latexdiff/git-latexdiff.git (and homebrew port) that nicely integrates with git.

in fact, I also use that tool too. But sometimes, git-latexdiff does not work well with Chinese, but magically your tool works. :)
