Monitoring SQL Server Availability Groups

First, this app is fantastic! It is doing exactly what I needed.

I am curious if anyone is using it to monitor nodes of an Availability Group. I've been working through a few issues on that and hoping someone has a solution they like...

1. If I point it at the Listener, at failover, some of the metrics will sometimes go wildly up creating a huge inflection in the graph. Has this been a problem?
2. If I point it at all the nodes, I need some way to identify the primary. Maybe a label like ag_role="primary"? Then I can show all the nodes but filter for the just the primary. That will show results from disparate nodes but should be accurate looking back over time.

Are there any other best practices from people using Availability Groups?
