examples/components-macos app not working #124

The ./examples/components-macos app launches, but it doesn't seem to respond to any user events - mouse clicks on to the other menu items don't do anything, and the welcome screen is blank:

grr, is this on Mojave or Catalina?

Same on High Sierra 10.13.6
