Steps To Reproduce

  • run the command bw login on a terminal
  • enter your email
  • enter your password

And you get this error:
request to https://biwarden.eu/identity/accounts/prelogin failed, reason: getaddrinfo EAI_AGAIN biwarden.eu

That address has a typo error (miss a 't' to bitwarden)
image

And even with that address https://bitwarden.eu/identity/accounts/prelogin you have this screen:

Expected Result

Log-in to bitwarden and let me connect properly.

Actual Result

Fail because of typo error.

Operating System

Linux

Shell

Bash

Build Version

2024.3.1

Issue Tracking Info

  • I understand that work is tracked outside of Github. A PR will be linked to this issue should one be opened to address it, but Bitwarden doesn't use fields like "assigned", "milestone", or "project" to track progress.

Hi @TheoCaparros,

Thank you for this report. Could you please review how you configured that CLI to connect to the EU Bitwarden server?

If the Server URL that you entered is accurate, but the CLI is still attempting to connect to a misspelled URL (without a T), please let me know how you installed that CLI.

All the best,

I installed it on an app called software:

Here is my config server:

Honnestly, I didn't configure anything on bw, I simply installed it and tried to use it.
I installed bw only because bitwarden (the desktop app) didn't work and seems to fail to connect... (like looping when trying to connect for hours)

Btw, thanks for the quick response!
Regards,
