Is it possible to remove HapHiC from Bioconda?

Dear Bioconda Maintainers,

I am writing to request the removal of the HapHiC package (https://bioconda.github.io/recipes/haphic/README.html) from the Bioconda repository. HapHiC (https://github.com/zengxiaofei/HapHiC) is an open-source project that I developed and maintain. However, I did not upload it to Bioconda myself—it was contributed by another user (#56765).

After testing the Bioconda version of HapHiC, I have identified several critical issues that prevent it from running correctly. I initially assumed that users would not install HapHiC through this channel, but recently, multiple users have reported errors resulting from installing the Bioconda version. This has negatively impacted the experience of potential users and hindered related research efforts.

As the sole developer and maintainer of HapHiC, I unfortunately do not have the bandwidth to maintain or fix the Bioconda version. Therefore, to avoid further confusion and ensure users have a reliable experience, I kindly request that the HapHiC package be removed from Bioconda.
