Publish extension on OpenVSX

This problem currently affects Arch and Manjaro users but it potentially affects anyone who uses the fully open-source version of vs code i.e Code- OSS because they won't be able to find the extension in the Extension marketplace.

Technically, it's illegal for any non-Microsoft product to connect to the standard Visual Studio marketplace. OpenVSX is an alternative registry that doesn't have these restrictions

without this, Code-OSS users have to manually download the VSIX file from the marketplace and install it manually.
This also means no automatic updates

En mi trabajo las computadoras no tienen conexion a internet por seguridad, he intentado instalar la extension por vsix pero me aparece un error de que no es compatible con visual studio version x.x, lo he intentado con versiones mas viejas y persiste el problema. Hay algunas solucion o para que la extension funcione se requiere conexion a internet?

Would you be cool if I set up a github action to automatically add Custom CSS and JS Loader to Open-VSX?

Any ETA on this? I'm wanting to use the extension, but i use an editor build on top of VSCode, so this extension do not appear in my extensions store. And there is no VSIX download, so can't manually install.

I'd appreciate any recommendation on a workaround?

Just a note, you can use a product.json to make foss vscode point to Microsoft's servers. That's what I do for VSCodium

This is what I did on Linux, but should work on MacOS and Windows as well:

1. git clone https://github.com/be5invis/vscode-custom-css or gh clone be5invis/vscode-custom-css
2. cd vscode-custom-css
3. npm i @vscode/vsce
4. npx vsce package and ignore the warnings
5. In vscode: Ctrl+Shift+P and then search for "Install from VSIX"
6. Select the newly packaged file, which should be located in the same folder you cloned to in the first step
