With Zarr 3, test collection fails because GroupNotFoundError no longer exists (see zarr-developers/zarr-python#2298). Replacing GroupNotFoundError with ValueError makes collection work, but the test suite produces 32 failures and 44 warnings. Evidently, adapting to Zarr 3 will not be trivial. For now, I will pin Zarr to <3 in environment.yml.
