Hey, thanks for this patcher and instructions.

I have installed Big Sur onto my Mid 2011, 13-inch MacBook Air. I did this so I can play Football Manager 2023, which resuires Big Sur at a minimum.

It works fine, but when I open football manager, the menu bar at the top of the screen disappears, and the game window doesn't show up anywhere. But, a weird blue outline does come up when i hover the cursor over the middle of the screen. See screenshot attached.

Anyone know why this is happening? And a solution?

Thanks,
Sam

My patcher doesn't support 3D accelerated graphics on MacBooks prior to 2012.

One way to proceed would be to use OpenCore Legacy Patcher instead of my patcher. This will provide OpenGL acceleration. That may or may not be enough to allow Football Manager 2023 to work, but OCLP is the only patcher that has any possibility of making the Mac version of Football Manager 2023 work on your Mac.

Another way would be to use Boot Camp to run Windows. If you can get Windows 7, 8.1, or 10 installed and running, then your Mac would be well within the system requirements listed on Steam for the Windows version of Football Manager 2023. (If I remember correctly, 2011 MacBooks don't officially support Windows 10, but there are ways to get it to run.)

That's really helpful, thank you. I ended up installing Windows 7 and it is working fine (although a little slow!).

Thank you :)
