When using localized content an exception arises

The following NoSuchMethodError was thrown building ApplicationHome(dirty, dependencies: [MediaQuery, _LocalizationsScope-[GlobalKey#9428d], Directionality], state: _ApplicationHomeState#875aa):
The getter 'brandname' was called on null.
Receiver: null
Tried calling: brandname
