we are working on opentelemetry module configurations in mule4 #107
Comments
@swetha123-S we have some documentation available here https://avioconsulting.github.io/mule-opentelemetry-module/. It also includes configuration details. Towards the end, APM Support testing section has example configurations for Splunk and Elastic which should help in module configuration. Could you please add more specific information about what your configuration looks like (code), specific APM you are testing, and what error/behavior you see? |
org.mule.runtime.api.connection.ConnectionException: Configuration must first start for OpenTelemetry connection. |
Hi @swetha123-S, if that error is happening during the application startup, you may ignore that error and continue to verify tracing at the runtime. See similar question #105 and my responses there. |
No, I cant able to see the traces in the apm tools. Which collector needs
to install for this?

Sorry for the late response here. I presume this may not be the question anymore but in case needed, it would be https://opentelemetry.io/docs/collector/ OR any APM that exposes OpenTelemetry-compliant endpoint (eg. Elastic). I am closing this with that info. |
step1: I added dependency in our mule application.
step2: I have installed the opentelemetry collector in my windows.
step3: Trying to connect mulesoft application to otelcollector.
Here I'm facing configuration issue can you help me how to configure this both and send data to splunk, elastic or dynatrace? please share any documentation.
