Allow text in center pane to use the pane's entire width

The text on the center pane (where the bullet notes are) only expands in width to a fixed maximum size.
If you expand the pane to be wider than that size, it will have large blank areas around the text - as shown in the attached picture.

I wish the text would expand to become as wide as the panel, so that long lines of text would expand horizontally and become shorter vertically.
