We'd like to make Astuto accessible to the largest number of people, so please teach a new language to Astuto!

If you want to help with translations, join Astuto on Crowdin, the platform that we use to work on internationalization! If you want to translate to a language not listed on Crowdin, just let us know.

@riggraz

Hi, I created an enterprise version of Crowdin here... I suggest we use this to translate... We're more than happy to discuss further on Discord...

If anyone's wondering, discussion on adding Crowdin moved to PR #128 .

A Crowdin project for Astuto has been created 🎉

You can access it here: https://crwd.in/astuto

If you want to translate to a language not listed on Crowdin, just let us know!

@riggraz I did a lot of german translations, would be great if you could pull them and push a new release.
Also i added a comment here on the last string untranslated: https://crowdin.com/translate/astuto/30/en-de?filter=basic&value=0#1204

Hi @TautFlorian, thanks for reaching out on GitHub, I didn't receive a notification on Crowdin so I didn't know about your translations! I'll take a look at them today or tomorrow and push a new release.

I'll let you know!

@riggraz I've completed the Chinese translation yesterday. Would you please take a look? Thanks!

Look forward to seeing it in a future release 😉

Hi @omltcat ! Thank you so much for the translation! I've merged it yesterday, you should see it in branch main

@riggraz Thanks for the quick action. I used the newest version and ran through most of the functionalities (including emails) to check for typos and misalignment. Necessary changes are already made on Crowdin. Also I notices there are some text that are not in the translation.

Like on the profile page:

leave blank if you don't want to change your password
we need your current password to confirm your changes

Is there anything I can do about them?

@omltcat thanks for pointing that out! I didn't know these strings were not being localized. I've added them and you should now be able to translate them on Crowdin!

Hi @riggraz,

  • "Powered by Astuto" is not present on crowdin

  • "Custom domain" ➜ [missing "fr.activerecord.attributes.tenant.custom_domain" translation], [missing "fr.site_settings.general.custom_domain_help" translation] and [missing "fr.site_settings.general.custom_domain_learn_more" translation] are not present on crowdin
Also the link forward to 404 https://docs.astuto.io/custom-domain

  • "There are no posts that have this status." is not present on crowdin

  • Status labels and "Feature Requests This is a board! You can create as many as you want from site settings and their description can be Markdown formatted." are also not available. Are they meant to be changed or should they also be translated by default?

Thanks @TheGeeKing !! I've added the missing translations (they will be available with the next commit).

P.S. status labels should not have a translation (they are supposed to be customised by the user), whereas default posts ("This is a board! You can create ...") are meant to be used just as a tutorial and they are supposed to be deleted by the administrator, so I don't think a translation is needed.

Bye!
