Waveshare HMMD mmWave Sensor

Hello,

we (me and @Brightness248) are trying to bring a Human presence and motion detection sensor from Waveshare to life, without much success. The sensor in question is the Waveshare HMMD mmWave Sensor.

By using the examples given in the Waveshare Wiki on this sensor, I am able to receive the output as below (here I used micropython), what means that the sensor in generall is working and readable.

Now, when compiling tasmota by adding #define LD2410S the data can not be evaluated properly. I triple checked all configuration and settings in Tasmota, so I can exclude errors from that side. Swapping TX and RX, as mentioned in other discussions, also did not worked. I expected, as both sensors are very similiar, that this might be a drop in solution. Output in Tasmota looks like:

Alas, protocol is different from both LD2410 and LD2410s (look at the source code and compare with document you've linked to.)

Hello @arendst,
without having compared the source code, I had already compiled and tested the version with the ld2410. Unfortunately with the same result.
Furthermore, the (unreadable) output shown in the image probably only results because the sensor is on pins of the hardware serial and thus comes directly from the sensor.
I will follow your advice and take a closer look at the source code. Thanks for your quick reply
