TM1638 switches randomly all switch on then off

I have a TM1638 connected to Tasmota32 running 14.2.0 (release-display) , and it generally works quite well.

However, at some random time (maybe not entirely random, it doesn't seem to happen when the Tasmota is entirely idle) all the switches on the TM1638 switch on within a few milliseconds, then some more milliseconds later, they all turn off, without anyone actually touching the physical switches.

Of course all these false switch on and off events mess up my application, so quite undesirable.

Anyone else seen this? Any ideas on how to resolve? I checked the release notes for 14.3 and there are no fixes mentioned for TM1638, though I could upgrade if there was a reason to believe it might improve things. I have also replaced the power supply in case that was the issue, but it had no effect.
