N+1 query problem how is it solved?

Hello!
I was reading this article and I was trying to find the corresponding approach to solve it with GraphQL.

I have a big monolith application based on REST endpoints what's the best approach to convert it to GraphQL?

I was exploring https://graphql-mesh.com/ but I am not sure about it and I would like to understand what kind of problems I might have to solve and if it is able to solve the N+1 query problem behind the scene for me.

if you have a REST endpoint that handles batch requests graphql mesh will expose a graphql method in the same vein for you to call.
if your REST endpoint only support singlular GETs there is nothing you can do.
using graphql-mesh is probably orthogonal to the N+1 query problem. You'll need something like data-loader to help you batch N+1 query calls together and make sure you have some way of query the data in batch.
