currently if you choose the open source intel drivers it will install both libva-intel-driver and intel-media-driver
as per here the former package is for older generations and the latter for newer ones, i haven't found information about the two drivers conflicting with each other, but it seems redundant to include both. i understand hardware detection is not a possibility, so i propose splitting the current driver selection in two, one for older generations and one for newer.
