it got below error for subscribing topics under one namespace

The feature of getting partitions without auto-creation is not supported from the broker, please upgrade the broker to the latest version

the namespace does allow autocreation of topics as I tested using the pulsar-client .
any one knows why ?

either you need downgrade your client a bit or upgrade the server to newer version . i downgrade my client a bit .

Sure, the PR is the below one, which fixed the issue that client will still used the DLQs with the old rule <namespace>-<subscription>-DLQ , but the rule was changed to <topic>-<subscription>-DLQ after 2.8.x . https://pulsar.apache.org/docs/3.3.x/concepts-messaging/#dead-letter-topic

Workaround 1: instead of using brokerServiceUrl for the client, use httpServiceUrl.
Workaround 2: upgrade broker to >=3.0.5.5
