I tried to test the code on mac and win8.1 , both got the following error:

File "scipy/io/matlab/streams.pyx", line 181, in scipy.io.matlab.streams.ZlibInputStream.read_into (/private/var/folders/gw/_2jq29095y7b__wtby9dg_5h0000gn/T/pip-rx828oer-build/scipy/io/matlab/streams.c:2887)
OSError: could not read bytes

Does anyone encounter the same problem ,and know what is possible reason?

the file may be corrupted. you can try redownload it
