Does this project pose any security risks?

Like with any open-source project, my available time and expertise to review the code are quite limited. The project dependency, fx-autoconfig (for which I have additional concerns), states on its own repo:

I would love to hear from the developers to bring some peace of mind regarding this matter. After all, we share a preference for the original Firefox over forks that offer this feature, at least in my case, because I have concerns about the security and privacy implications that forks may present, but in my eyes, a userChrome.js script is no different.
