  • present it in a way that both sets of data can be seen. The blue overlay should be semi-transparent so you can see the green behind it.
  • Some users would click on the “Total Foreign-Born” and “County/Country Foreign-Born” labels, expecting something to happen. Maybe these need explanatory tooltips?

Think this might need some design help. Here it is with the blue made less opaque:

Still feels pretty subtle to me! Maybe the labels become buttons that bring their respective timeline to the foreground?
