Describe the bug
When clicking a link (i.e. https://google.com) nothing happens.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Open a chat
  2. Click on a highlighted weblink
  3. Nothing happens

Expected behavior
The default web browser opens with the URL as the clicked link.

Information:

  • OS: Debain Buster
  • Altus Version v3.8.0

Might be an issue with your distro. Links work fine for me on Manjaro

As far as I know, the function used to open the links in an external browser just opens the link in whatever is set as the default browser. Are you sure a default browser has been set?

That was a good tip! I had another browser installed previously and it still had an entry in ~/.config/mimeapps.list. It was blocking the name of my installed Firefox installation. It works now.

It seems this issue is back. I can open links from Telegram and other apps fine, but when doing so from Altus, I get an error in Firefox: "Firefox is already running, but is not responding. To use Firefox, you must first close the existing Firefox process, restart your device, or use a different profile."

I am on Altus v4.5.6 and using Fedora 35.
