Actually it's exactly every 2nd time I start Altus..
it loads, I can use it, and after a few minutes it's unresponsive
the thing is - I can't even kill the process!
even in the command prompt with elevated right using taskkill it says there's no instance..
but I sure as Amen in Church see the window unresponsive in front of my nose..
So what I do now.. since it's always the 2nd boot..
I boot, start Altus - wait for it it become unresponsive and then reboot and start altus and now it works fine..
next day the same.. I start the computer, then altus, wait a few minutes to become unresponsive, reboot and now I can work all day at the computer without issues.
