changing sort field does not work with german locale

Pressing s on a running goaccess instance shows the sort dialog. For me, when running goaccess with a german locale (LANG=de_DE.UTF-8), selecting a different sort field has no effect. Changing the sort order does work, though.
But when running
LANG=C goaccess [...]
or
LANG=en_US.UTF-8 goaccess [...]
changing the sort field works as expected.

I see this on Debian Bookworm using the upstream repository and on Manjaro - both v. 1.9.3.
