It seems that the two keys used to set up the screen saver password, askForPassword and askForPasswordDelay are no longer used in the latest versions of macOS High Sierra.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

This is definitely a bug. I went off the Apple documentation when I was writing this, and it looks like that's incorrect.

One solution for now would be to remove this from the code base but I feel like this is an important feature and I want to explore some workarounds before doing that.
