[Bug] App crashes during batch backup #31
Comments
Thanks, I see, I think I can add a new tab ("Pending tasks" or "Background jobs") to group all exports and do it in background (no more single task, this will avoid this critical crash). Also do you mind to explain what is your use-case? I find many people trying to export all apks, but I never really understood the purpose, what you wanna do with all these apks? I don't see any problems of course, it's your device; I'm just curious. |
@alexrintt I plan to un-root my device and re-lock bootloader. My only use case for root anymore is backing up app data (currently done with Neo backup), although thats not actually needed in my case anymore. So because I wont have root anymore, that app won't work. So I was looking for an app that just backs up all apks alone. Many apps I've installed via fdroid and so d like to just place them all in a specific directory for quick install when restoring. (I don't rely on google cloud for backup, privacy reasons), though even if I did use google cloud backup it would only re-install apps from play store but not sideloaded apps. And adb backup is depreciated and may be removed soon so I dont want to rely on it. |
@alexrintt hey i also have a similar question, the apps that we extract from this app will also take all the data in apk? |
Hello,
I am on a Pixel 6 running latest version of Android 13.
When I select all apps (Total of 387), it will export and crash seconds later. No error message, no force close but just puts me back at home launcher.
It exports some apps fine, it managed to export 26 the first time.
p.s as theres no option to hide system apps, thats why the total of 387 apps is so many.
