Do you have an example? My cash is in different currency but was not able to make the workaround even with USD=X as a Symbol. Ps: this would have been a good feature indeed. |
The most common use of this would be to support regular cash holdings. For example, say I have $1000 in my brokerage and invest all but about $0.83 due to the fact that buying equities amounted to $999.17. That leftover amount should still be tracked. Seeing a difference in a portfolio of even a few cents can make it appear like there's a miscalculation at a glance. Yahoo Finance supports
$$CASH
among others, which simply add the amount to the grand total. If this feature request is implemented, I recommend using the same notation/symbol as Yahoo Finance for consistency's sake.See: https://help.yahoo.com/kb/finance-for-web/enter-cash-private-equity-holdings-portfolio-sln4888.html
