People can currently share a page they like on twitter and Facebook, but there is no count on the page as to how many people have shared it on each social media. If we make that possible, users can use it to tell the popularity of each individual name. So, let's allow people to simply "like" a page (which adds up to the facebook count), and also have a twitter counter for how many times users have shared it. It will need to be small and placed at the bottom of the page.

NOTE: This is different from being able to comment on a page with social media handles, which is already listed as a different issue.

I can take it up. But, as I am a beginner I need some help. How do I start?

Hey @sounak98 The things I would suggest you do, to get an hang of where to start include:

  1. Read the general information here: https://github.com/Yorubaname/general-information This contains the general information any developer would need to know regarding contributing code to the project.
  2. Read the blogpost: Contribution Guidelines for Yorubaname here: http://blog.yorubaname.com/2016/07/11/contribution-guidelines-for-yorubaname-codebase/ this post goes into more details on how volunteers can start contributing.
  3. Watch the Recorded Webinar on How to get started working with the YorubaName codebase https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BKK80MmPS9Q

These steps should empower you with the necessary information needed to go through the opened Issues for the projects on Github and to create your first pull request.
