[Bug] Patterns aren't erased when closing files

What's the issue you encountered?

When you close a file (using ctrl+w) a new file the pattern stays in the pattern editor

How can the issue be reproduced?

Open a single file
create a pattern for that file
close the file using ctrl+W
open another file
observe that the pattern stays applied in the pattern editor
