Is this a general concept that needs to be documented or a specific API?
A common place for misunderstanding is the synthetic sections added to a Binary View, we should document all possible synthetic sections so users are not confused and unsure of what to modify during/after analysis.

What concept or API needs more documentation?
Synthetic sections such as .extern and .synthetic_builtins.

Is this documentation related to a specific API?
Related: Extern symbol type

Are there any known examples of people using this API/concept?
#6185 operated much in the same way as the .extern section.
