Запускаю готовый бинарь.
Появляется окошко, там идут попытки использовать разные DNS, потом окно исчезает.

$ ./blockcheck-0.0.9.8-linux-x86_64

У меня работает корректно в LiveCD Kubuntu 19.10. У вас какая-то особая конфигурация?

Воспроизвёл, это проблема сборки. Вы можете запускать blockcheck из исходников.
