Lets iterate the Department admin statistics view further:

Add date filtering. Two date inputs (end and start), by default the start date would be 6 months ago and the end date today.
Only show the statistics for the selected time period
Also there should be like semester selection. Ready thesis will count towards the year when the thesis became ready
Add sum of the total numbers to top or bottom (sum of each status)
