Describe the bug

Changing the number of columns for widgets in /preferences/ does not seem to do anything.
It does not have an impact on how many columns you can have on your dashboard.

Changing the number of dashboards seems to be done via the dashboard settings menu instead (see screenshot). This actually has an effect on how many columns there are.

So the question is, is the form in /preferences/ something old that was effectively deprecated at some point?

To Reproduce

Expected behavior

Not sure honestly, changing number of columns on a per-dashboard level seems like how it should be. But maybe
ColumnsForm shouldnt exist?
