My stepdaughter is severely to profoundly deaf in both ears, with different frequency loss's in each ear. She needs hearing aids, but her insurance doesn't cover them, of course. We've bought different OTC hearing aids, but because they are basically just "across the board" amplifiers, she can hear the frequencies that she couldn't before, like a beep on a microwave, but the frequencies that she can hear without the aids are so loud that they cause severe "overstimulation" and headaches within an hour or so. I started Googling how to use an ESP32, with a microphone, connected to Bluetooth earbuds/headsets to transmit the audio. That part is simple. What isn't is the "customization", such has an 8-channel equalizer for each ear, which is exactly what she needs. I probably had a good 50 tabs open when I found this project. I am amazed at the entire project, and the library is outstanding, to say the least. And the wired earbuds that you have available - just WOW. Any plans for bone-conductions headphones?
Also, is there a Discord set up for this project? I hate asking questions as an "issue".
