[Bug]: qTox closes to tray (window gone) even if there's no tray (no icon to click) #473

Steps to reproduce

  1. Start qTox with Flatpak
  2. Login to your account
  3. Close qTox window
  4. start qTox with Flatpak again and try to login the same profile. It will say "the profile is already in use"
  5. ps aux | grep -i qtox - You'll see that qTox doesn't close when closing the UI.

Observed Behavior

qTox from Flatpak keeps running in the background after closing the window

Expected Behavior

The whole application should close when closing the window

You can fix this by disabling the Close to tray option in the General settings:

Do you have a system tray that qTox is in? Or do you have a system tray without qTox, and you lose track of the running client?

Close tray is enabled by default? If not, I had it disabled. I didn't touch that settings I don't even have tray icons on arch.

I cannot check it now. I decided to use the old qTox version in bubblewrap.

I hope sudden6 will port qTox to this repo soon

Interesting. I'll have a look into that "no tray available but still tries to close to tray" issue.
