Appreciate your efforts. The extension is super powerful in automatic 1111.
Any plan to make this available for comfy ui? Or is there a manual where I can just prepare a bunch of prompts from the files I've?

I've received a few requests to make Unprompted available for ComfyUI - it seems to be gaining in popularity and I'd like to try it myself soon.

Here's where currently I stand on the matter: Unprompted has a sizable audience but it is largely overshadowed by Dynamic Prompts, so if the latter (or something similar) is already compatible with ComfyUI, I would be reluctant to spend time and energy on it. I want to focus on exploring new and interesting features that are not well-represented by alternative software.

That said, you can process any string independently of the UI with unprompted_dry.py. Simply pass your string to the do_unprompted() method. It should work with any of the basic shortcodes.

What would need to be ported is scripts/unprompted.py, which contains the Wizard GUI as well as handling of Stable Diffusion variables. We'll see...

Just wanted to second this request.

Just having the shortcodes syntax be accessible in comfyui so we can use unprompteds vastly superior wildcard logic would be amazing to have in comfy. Maybe a custom node where you can input umprompted shortcode syntax with an option to read it in from a file, and an output that outputs the flattened evaluated prompt would be very helpful in comfy.

Once I'm finished working on v11 (it's almost ready btw!), I'll implement a simple ComfyUI node that processes an input text with Unprompted and spits out converted text that you can presumably connect to most other nodes.

This will at least enable Comfy users to take advantage of wildcards and logic processing. As for Stable Diffusion shortcodes and Wizard templates, well, those things are pretty much hardcoded to A1111 and serve as competing tech to ComfyUI, anyway. So I'll keep the node implementation light.

Awesome exicted for that! Can't wait to try out v11 wizard stuff as well for a1111. These days doing a lot of back and forth between comfy and a1111 with stabilitymatrix which makes it easy.

Update!

I released Unprompted v11 a few days ago and have shifted my attention to creating a ComfyUI node for it.

The first step was making sure this repo was compatible with pip install so that it can be easily added to a Comfy environment. This was surprisingly tricky, due to the way the project is structured for A1111 support. But I think it works now. You should be able to run this command to create a standalone copy of Unprompted:

pip install unprompted@git+https://github.com/ThereforeGames/unprompted

I'm now working on the node itself, which hopefully won't take too long.

Yep, that's the correct location. I imagine it is also possible to create a symbolic link to an outside directory, although I haven't tested it.

Thanks for the update. That'll be handy to have a toggle to lock/unlock the text node from caching.

I just tried to update though through the comfyui manager as people normally do, and I'm getting this issue. It looks like there's maybe an issue in teh formatting for the requirements file:

Hi @magicbot42,

I'm guessing the Manager doesn't like the # comments in the package requirements - can you tell me the steps I can take to reproduce that error? Which button(s) are you using to try the update?

In addition to removing comments from requirements.txt, I might have to adjust lines 78-80 of install.py accordingly. Likely not a difficult thing to fix.

Yeah, it seems like it's something like that.
I was able to unblock it by removing those comments and then commenting a couple of lines that was splitting on them.

To reproduce:
Go to Manager
Go to Install Custom Nodes
Type in unprompted to narrow down to that
And hit the "Try Update" button:

I adjusted the requirements code and was able to run the update through ComfyUI Manager. Though, I did have to re-install the node first, possibly to clear out some cache interference.
