aka no LFG posts are allowed to use profanity, and there will have to be a check for them before allowing the post to submit.

this HAS to be in the TOS

Questions:

  • will there be profanities allowed in the group/clan posts?
  • will repeated attempts to use profanities result in some sort of penalty? removal?

As I'm assigned the tos tasks I felt it necessary to drop my thoughts here. My thoughts:

  • We shoulder censor out a list of common profanities like your swear words, racist remarks etc with stars eg fuck becomes ****
  • Witch-hunting, hate speech and generally inappropriate content that is not relevant to gaming will not be tolderated and clearly stated that it is not allowed on the platform and to begin with at least will be down to manual removal and punishment from moderators
  • excessive use of censored words eg a post that is mostly made up of censored words will result in some form of automatic punishemnt. Perhaps based on what percentage of the post is made up by censored words.

edit 1:
These are just my early thoughts and obviously TOS needs to be developed first which is my first task to get on with.
